About IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), is functioning as integral part of our Academic and administrative activities. Post NAAC National Assessment and Accreditation Council assessment, The IQAC has geared up and extended its support for all the Academic and administrative affairs of the college. The expectations from the from IQAC have increased and have a key role in “Governance “and management of the college/institution.

Objective

The Primary aim of IQAC

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of institution.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

    Strategy


    IQAC is designed to make strategic and tactical inputs in the manner of

    1. Ensuring performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks in timely , efficient and progressive manner
    2. The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.
    3. Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.
    4. Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
    5. The credibility of evaluation procedures.
    6. Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
    7. Sharing of research finding and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.

    Benefits


    IQAC will facilitate/contribute by ensuring to provide
    1. Heightened level of clarity and focus in the institutional functioning towards quality enhancement.
    2. Internalization of the quality culture.
    3. Enhancement and coordination among various activities of the institution and institutionalize all good practices.
    4. Sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.
    5. Acting as a dynamic system for quality changes in HEI’s.
    6. Build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.

Monitoring mechanism

The institutions need to submit yearly the Annual Quality Assurance Report to NAAC.A functional The Internal Quality Assurance Cell( IQAC) and timely submission of Annual Quality Assurance Report to (AQAR ) are Minimum Institutional Requirement (MIR) to volunteer for respective cycle’ accreditation. During the institutional visit the NAAC peer teams interacts with the IQAC’s to know the progress, functioning as well quality sustenance initiatives undertaken by them.

Annual Quality Assurance Report may be part of Annual Report. AQAR ‘s are approved by statutory bodies of HEI’s (such as Syndicate, Governing Council/Board) for the follow up action for necessary quality enhancement measures.

  1. Undertake manpower auditing to identify under-utilized, academic and administrative staff. An HRD cell would look into the existing manpower and need for new recruitments ,
  2. To implement the computersation of the administrative wing of the University to be implemented. A College governance Centre to be established to train staff in application of information technology and in the best possible practices in administration. Efforts will be made to make the administration, student and teacher friendly.
  3. Facilitate visits by international scholars, cutting down on red tape and unnecessary procedural delays

Technical
  1. Access to computers, LCD projectors, photocopiers etc. to all department and offices.
  2. Centralization of infrastructural facilities used by more than one discipline.
  3. Establishment of a central information technology Cell which would deal with the hardware/software related problems of the campus

E-connectivity

Expand the existing campus wide net work and strengthen. The number of e-journals and e-books to be increased. Take steps to have healthy environment and proper security on the campus. The college to encourage group base tasks, cultural activities and sports for release of stress and promotion of culture of co-operation.

Develop multi-skilled manpower

Periodic review of administration to improve work online.
